AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR VISITS
Many Groundwood authors and illustrators are available for school or library visits. If you are interested in scheduling a visit, please send your request by email to marketing@groundwoodbooks.com. It is important to include when you would like the author/illustrator to visit, the type of program you wish to have (workshop, reading, panel discussion, question and answer session), the number of people that will be attending the presentation, and the honorarium that will be provided.
There are several provincial organizations that help schools fund author/illustrator visits. The provincial arts councils and writers organizations across Canada may have grants for which you qualify. Please contact the following organizations for more information on their writers in schools programs.

Another option for schools and libraries is to apply to The Canadian Children's Book Centre (CCBC) for an author/illustrator/storyteller visit during their annual Canadian Children's Book Week. For one week in November, the CCBC tours authors and illustrators across the country to visit schools and libraries. For more information, visit the CCBC website at www.bookcentre.ca.
